Today's Photo Blog comes from Venice where I've chosen the small island of Murano in the Venetian Lagoon as the subject. You can use the Venice water buses to visit all of the islands in the lagoon and this one is just a 15-20 minute journey from the stop outside Venice's train station (Ferrovia). Murano is famous for its glass factories and you'll find an impressive Glass Museum along with dozens of little shops selling their home-made wares. The other striking thing about Murano is the array of colour, whether that comes from the pretty houses, the boats or the green of the water which is so vibrant even on a rainy day as can be seen in this photo.
