The hill town of Torchiara is situated within​ the Province of Salerno, a distance of 114 kilometres south east of Naples, the regional capital of Campania. 

Standing at an elevation of 360 metres above sea level it has a population of around 1,800 residents.

Nearby places of interest include Agropoli, Paestum, Castellabate, San Marco and Acciaroli.

Torchiara is a small town located in the province of Salerno, Campania, set in the hills of the Cilento region. Positioned just inland from the Tyrrhenian Sea, it offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside, with lush green valleys and distant mountain ranges creating a peaceful and scenic backdrop.
