Alimini Piccolo Lake is the smaller of the two Almini Lakes, situated on the Salento region's Adriatic Coast. The maximum depth of the lake is one and a half metres; it's around 2 kilometres in length and roughly 350 metres across at its widest point.
This is a very quiet spot with most of the local visitor attention focused on the slightly larger lake (Alimini Grande) and to a much greater extent, the Alimini Beach. The closest town to Alimini Piccolo is Otranto while the pretty seaside resort of Torre dell'Orso is just a short drive up the coast in the opposite direction. |
