The film and TV locations in Italy provide some of the most magical memories from the small and big screen. Italy's beautiful countryside landscapes, historic landmarks and famous cities have provided the backdrop for a variety of films and television shows. 

Every year we hear about new productions being shot on location in Italy and we then eagerly await the final results as they hit our screens. Films such as The Godfather trilogy have significantly stimulated tourism in Sicily as fans follow in the footsteps of Al Pacino and friends, while the island region is also the setting for the hugely popular Inspector Montalbano TV series. As new shows take place, we'll keep them updated on this page.
