Greve in Chianti is a picturesque town located in the heart of the Chianti Classico wine region, in the province of Florence, Tuscany, Italy. The town's history can be traced back to ancient Etruscan and Roman times. Over the centuries, Greve grew in importance due to its strategic location along the historic trade route connecting Florence and Siena.
History
During the medieval period, the town became part of the Florentine Republic and played a vital role in the territorial disputes between Florence and Siena. Despite these conflicts, Greve in Chianti continued to flourish, mainly thanks to its thriving agricultural activities and the production of fine wines that would later become world-famous as Chianti.

Today, Greve in Chianti remains a charming and vibrant town, known not only for its wine heritage but also for its stunning landscapes, cultural attractions, and warm hospitality.
