Caprera
The island of Caprera marks the eastern edge of La Maddalena Archipelago just off Sardinia's north-eastern coast.
Caprera is connected to the central La Maddalena Island via a road bridge that crosses the sea between them. Without a doubt, Caprera's biggest claim to fame is that it became the home of Italian unification hero Giuseppe Garibaldi from 1855 until 1892. |
