The island of Santo Stefano is part of the La Maddalena Archipelago island group that sits just off Sardinia's north-eastern coast in the Province of Sassari.

Santo Stefano measures 3.4 square kilometres in total and can be accessed by boat only, either from the port town of Palau or one of the neighbouring islands such as Caprera or La Maddalena Island.
