Mausoleum of Theodoric
Latest update: 26 February 2022
The Mausoleum of Theodoric is one of the eight sites that form the Early Christian Monuments of Ravenna UNESCO World Heritage listing. It was built in 520 AD as the tomb of the Ostrogoth king Theodoric the Great, who ruled the city during that period.
Situated in the south-eastern corner of the Parco di Teodorico, it's usually open in the mornings only and requires an entry ticket. |
If planning to visit the Mausoleum in conjunction with the other seven Early Christian Monuments of Ravenna, it should be noted that it's located just outside the city centre, a twenty minute walk from Piazza del Popolo.
