Ponte dell'Ammiraglio

The Ponte dell'Ammiraglio or Admiral's Bridge was completed in 1131 and has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2015 along with nine other monuments under the heading Arab-Norman Palermo and the Cathedral Churches of Cefalù and Monreale.
Now situated at the centre of a busy traffic intersection in Palermo, the capital of Sicily, it once crossed the Oreto River. |
