Known simply as Milan Bergamo Airport, or Orio al Serio International Airport, to give it its full name, this is the second busiest air transport hub in the Lombardy region.

Its location in the suburbs of Bergamo makes it ideal for visits to the main sights of the region including Lake Como, Lake Garda and Milan which is just under an hour's drive away. 
Milan Bergamo Airport is a popular destination for low-cost airlines, first among which is Ryanair. They offer connections to dozens of European cities, including Dublin and London, but also to some smaller UK airports such as Nottingham and Bristol. You can also make connecting flights from Naples and Rome or visit other Italian destinations including Sicily, Sardinia, Puglia and Calabria. ​​
