The best beaches in Italy have been chosen from thousands of contenders that occupy the country's various coastlines and islands. So numerous were the wonderful beaches to choose from that it was impossible to narrow the list down any further than these 34 selections.

Taking those and many other elements into consideration, it's hard to look beyond the claims of the Spiaggia dei Conigli which translates into Rabbit Beach. The beautiful La Pelosa Beach in Sardinia ran it a close second and to be even the best beach in Sardinia is quite an accolade.
