Ponte Coperto

The Ponte Coperto is a landmark bridge in the city of Pavia in the region of Lombardy. Completed in 1951 to replace the previous bridge which had been damaged during World War Two bombing raids, it crosses the River Ticino with a total length of 216 metres.
Translating literally as "Covered Bridge", it forms part of the local road network and is also used by pedestrians. |
