Basilica di San Nicola
Latest update: 26 February 2022
The Basilica di San Nicola in Bari is one of the most important churches in Italy for both Roman Catholic and Orthodox pilgrims.
Despite its size, importance and grandeur, the Basilica doesn't have cathedral status; that accolade belongs to the Cattedrale di San Sabino which was completed 95 years later and is a 5 minute walk away across Bari Vecchia, the old town in the the capital of Puglia. |
