The Ponte Vecchio in Bassano del Grappa is a landmark wooden bridge that crosses the River Brenta in the region of Veneto.
Not to be confused with the Ponte Vecchio in Florence (in both cases translating as "Old Bridge), it's also known as the Ponte degli Alpini in reference to the group of soldiers (Alpini) that rebuilt the bridge in 1948 after it was damaged during the Second World War. |
