La Maddalena Island
Centrepiece of the archipelago that bears its name is La Maddalena Island. It's situated just a 15 minute ferry ride from the port town of Palau, on Sardinia's north-eastern coast.
By far the most populous of the La Maddalena Archipelago, this central island has a population of just over 11,000 residents and comes under the auspices of the Province of Sassari. La Maddalena Island boasts an attractive port area with a number of shops and restaurants, as well as a series of beaches nearby. |
