The borgo of Palazzolo Acreide is listed as one of the "Borghi Più Belli d'Italia" (Italy's most beautiful villages) and is also is one of the Late Baroque Towns of the Val di Noto (South-Eastern Sicily) inscribed since 2002 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
It has a population of just under nine thousand and is situated within the province of Syracuse. |
Palazzolo stands at an elevation of 670 metres and is close to the towns of Noto and Vizzini.
