Arian Baptistery

The Arian Baptistery is one of the eight sites that make up the Early Christian Monuments of Ravenna UNESCO World Heritage listing. Built in the 5th century AD by Ostrogoth king Theodoric the Great, it is one of two baptisteries in Ravenna's city centre.
Octagonal in shape, the paleochristian structure's interior dome is decorated with beautiful mosaics depicting the baptism of Christ. |
