The vineyard town of Barbaresco is situated within the Province of Cuneo. It stands at an elevation of 274 metres above sea level with a population of around 650 inhabitants.

Barbaresco is a small and picturesque village located in the Langhe region of Piedmont, Italy. Its history dates back to ancient times when the area was inhabited by Celtic tribes. Over the centuries, Barbaresco came under the rule of various noble families, including the Marquises of Montferrat and the House of Savoy.
History
The village is renowned for its noble wine, also called Barbaresco, made from the Nebbiolo grape variety. The wine's fame can be attributed to the efforts of Domizio Cavazza, a 19th-century landowner, who recognized the potential of the local vineyards and worked to improve winemaking techniques. Today, Barbaresco is celebrated as one of Italy's most prestigious wine-producing areas.
