Located in the Province of Trento, Lake Tenno has a surface area of 2.5 km² and a maximum depth of 48 metres. The lake is situated 11 kilometres from Riva del Garda and 44 km from the city of Trento, the regional capital of Trentino Alto-Adige.

Nearby places of interest include Canale di Tenno, Arco, Riva del Torbole and Nago.
