Castello Estense
The Castello Estense castle is situated in the centre of the city of Ferrara, dominating the city's landscape and very much its most iconic sight.
Also known as the Castello di San Michele, the structure was built in 1385 by the powerful Este family, from which the castle's most-commonly used name comes. |
