​The town of Satriano di Lucania is situated within the Province of Potenza and has a population of 2,317 inhabitants.

Standing at an elevation of 653 metres above sea level, it covers a total area of 33 km². Satriano is famous for the colourful murals painted onto a number of the town's buildings.

​The closest hotel is 12 kilometres away while nearby places of interest include Brienza, Pignola, Marsico Nuovo, Potenza and Moliterno.
