The nearest railway access is in Tito or Potenza, with Potenza Centrale located about 25 kilometres away on the main line connecting Salerno and Taranto. From Potenza, Satriano di Lucania can be reached by car or local bus in around 30 minutes.

By Road: The town is situated in the province of Potenza, Basilicata, roughly 100 kilometres east of Salerno and 25 kilometres south of Potenza. From Salerno, the drive takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes via the A2 motorway and SS95. From Potenza, the journey takes around 30 minutes along the SS95. Parking is available near the historic centre.
