The most convenient airport for Ansedonia is Rome Fiumicino which is 129 kilometres away, a drive of an hour and 35 minutes.

Ansedonia is a beautiful coastal town located in the southern part of Tuscany, Italy. Situated on a promontory overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, Ansedonia offers stunning panoramic views of the sea, sandy beaches, and lush Mediterranean vegetation. This tranquil destination is known for its historical significance, Etruscan ruins, and its inviting coastline.
History
Ansedonia has a rich history dating back to ancient times. It was once an important Etruscan settlement known as "Cosa" and played a strategic role in the Etruscan civilization. During the Roman era, it became a thriving Roman port and continued to be of significance during the Middle Ages due to its coastal location.

Throughout its history, Ansedonia experienced different rulers, including the Etruscans, Romans, and various noble families during the Middle Ages. The area's historical legacy is visible in its Etruscan ruins and Roman archaeological sites.
