The Capo Carbonara coastal area is situated on Sardinia's south-eastern coast in the South Sardinia Province and officially part of the Comune of Villasimius. 

The area is characterised by a series of beaches including Porto Giunco, the Villasimius Marina, and by the pink flamingos that can regularly be spotted throughout the peninsula.
