How to Get to Caramanico Terme
By Rail: The nearest train station to Caramanico Terme is in Scafa–San Valentino, approximately 20 kilometres away. The station lies on the Pescara–Sulmona line operated by Trenitalia, with regular regional services. Trains from Scafa reach Pescara in about 25 minutes and Sulmona in around 40 minutes. Local buses and taxis connect Scafa with Caramanico Terme and nearby towns within the Maiella National Park.

By Road: Caramanico Terme is located in the province of Pescara, Abruzzo, in the heart of the Maiella mountains. From Chieti, the drive is around 45 kilometres and takes about 1 hour via the SS81 and SP65. From Pescara, it is approximately 50 kilometres and takes roughly 1 hour and 10 minutes by car. Parking is available near the thermal spa area and around the main entrance to the old town.

  • Pescara Abruzzo Airport: Approximately 45 kilometres from Caramanico Terme, with a driving time of around 1 hour via the A25 and SS81. It is the closest airport, offering domestic and European routes.
  • Naples Capodichino Airport: Located about 200 kilometres southwest, taking roughly 2 hours and 40 minutes by car via the A1 and SS652. Suitable for travellers from southern Italy or abroad.
  • Rome Ciampino Airport: Around 185 kilometres west, with a journey time of approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes via the A24 and A25. A convenient option for visitors from across Europe.
