The town of Conegliano is located within the Province of Treviso and has a population of 35,231 inhabitants. It's situated around 63 kilometres north of Venice, the regional capital of Veneto.​ 

​Standing at an elevation of 72 metres above sea level, it covers an area of 36 km². Among the nearby places of interest are Vittorio Veneto, Treviso, Belluno and Bassano del Grappa.

Conegliano is a historic town located in the Veneto region of northern Italy. Situated in the province of Treviso, Conegliano is renowned for its rich cultural heritage, historic landmarks, and its association with Prosecco wine. ​
History
Conegliano has ancient origins, dating back to Roman times when it was an important Roman municipality. Throughout history, the town was ruled by various noble families, including the Da Camino family, whose castle still stands as a prominent landmark.

Conegliano played a significant role in the development of Renaissance art and culture, with the renowned painter Cima da Conegliano hailing from the town. In addition to its artistic heritage, Conegliano is also famous for being the birthplace of the Prosecco wine, making it a delightful destination for history enthusiasts and wine lovers alike.
