​The town of Fidenza is located within the Province of Parma and has a population of 27,041 inhabitants. Standing at an elevation of 75 metres above sea level, it lies 119 kilometres north west of Bologna, the capital of Emilia Romagna.  

The main sights in Fidenza include its 12th century cathedral and its main square: Piazza Garibaldi.

History
Fidenza has ancient origins, dating back to Roman times when it was known as Fidentia. The town's strategic location along the Via Emilia, the ancient Roman road connecting Rome to the northern regions of Italy, contributed to its historical significance as a trading and commercial center.
