Gallerie dell'Accademia (Venice)

The Gallerie dell'Accademia in Venice was first opened to the public in August 1817 and is housed within the Scuola della Carità within the Dorsoduro sestiere.
Attracting in excess of 300,000 thousand visitors per year pre-pandemic, the art museum ranked 24th most visited attraction in Italy in 2019 by that measure. Most of the paintings on display date from the early Renaissance to the 18th century and include masterpieces by the likes of Da Vinci, Tintoretto, Titian, Mantegna, Tiepolo and many others. The Gallery has its own Venice water bus stop, Accademia on lines 1 and N. |
