The best dozen or so Gargano beaches are headed by the iconic Baia delle Zagare with its faraglioni or sea stacks resembling a pair of broken giant's teeth. There are all sorts of weird and wonderful shapes like this to be seen on the Gargano Peninsula of Puglia which has an almost eclectic collection of beaches.
Vignanotica Beach is characterised by its sheer white cliffs that make you feel just ever so queasy when you look up at them. The area of the Gargano National Park is a hilly forest in the middle of the Peninsula with a huge coastline around it. Some of the beaches are quite small but the water lapping up to them is quite stunning. |
