The lakeside location of Limonta is situated in the Province of Lecco, on the shores of Lake Como. It's a part of the Comune of Oliveto Lario and is located a distance of 75 kilometres north of Milan, the regional capital of Lombardy.

Limonta has a Lake Como ferry port, while nearby places of interest include Bellagio, Giardini di Villa Melzi, Vassena and Onno.
