The Monte dei Cappuccini is a famous hill that overlooks Turin city centre. It owes its popularity to the marvellous views of Turin that can be enjoyed from its elevated position.
From here you can look across the River Po and see the iconic Mole Antonelliana dominating the city's skyline with the snow-capped Italian Alps lying in the background. |

The site can be reached by heading south-east from Piazza Vittorio Veneto and crossing the river at Ponte Vittorio Emanuele II. From there it's an eight minute walk up the hill.
Once you reach the hill you'll find the Chiesa di Santa Maria del Monte dei Cappuccini church and the Museo Nazionale della Montagna, the mountain museum at the top, both of which are worth a visit in their own right.
