The village of Montemassi is situated within the Province of Grosseto and stands at an elevation of 280 metres above sea level.

It's located 116 kilometres south of Florence, the regional capital of Tuscany and has a population of around 200 inhabitants. Nearby places of interest include the towns of Roccatederighi, Prata, Massa Marittima and Grosseto.
