The collection of Puglia's Borghi Più Belli d'Italia consists of ten towns and small villages that define different elements of the region's cultural heritage and traditions. 

The definition of a borgo (borghi plural) is a village, small town or part of a larger town where the houses tend to be closely huddled together, reflecting the intimacy of the close-knit communities that live within them. They provide a variety of treats for the eye as well as delicious recipes handed down through the generations. Of the more than 300 on the list in Italy, Puglia has some of the best, with the centro storico of Otranto and its castle among the highlights.
