Rivers of Lombardy

The major rivers of Lombardy include five of the longest rivers in Italy. Longest of all at a total length of 652 kilometres is the River Po which Lombardy shares with three other regions: Piedmont, Emilia Romagna and Veneto. Measuring 313 kilometres in length, the River Adda is the fourth longest river in Italy and totally contained within the Lombardy region.
The 280 kilometre long River Oglio is another that's completely within Lombardy, while at 276 km in length, the regions shares the River Tanaro with Liguria and Piedmont. Making up the quintet of long rivers in Lombardy is the River Ticino at 248 kilometres. |
