The most famous ski resorts of Veneto are nestled among the spectacular scenery of the Dolomites range of the Italian Alps.

Within Veneto is one of Italy's most popular ski resorts: Cortina d'Ampezzo which is more commonly referred to simply as Cortina and can be enjoyed all year round. When the skiing season comes to an end, the resort becomes popular with hikers and cyclists who come to enjoy the fresh mountain air. Another of the ski resorts in Veneto is the much smaller town of Arabba which lies at the edge of the regional border with Trentino Alto Adige/South Tyrol where there are an even greater number of ski resorts.
