The UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Umbria are spread across a number of locations that relate to two separate inscriptions.
One of those is titled: Assisi, the Basilica of San Francesco and other Franciscan sites. Aside from the religious monuments in Assisi itself, the inscription also includes the Basilica di Santa Maria degli Angeli which is situated to the south, a ten minute drive away. Two sites in Umbria belong to the Longobards in Italy listing with the Basilica di San Salvatore in the town of Spoleto and the Tempietto del Clitunno joining five other locations in different Italian regions. |
