The hill town of Aieta is situated within the Province of Cosenza and has a population of around 900 inhabitants.

It stands at an elevation of 524 metres above sea level and is included in the list of Borghi Più Belli d'Italia (most beautiful villages in Italy). Places of interest nearby include the towns of Tortora Marina, Praia a Mare, Tortora and San Nicola Arcella. ​

Aieta is a small, historic town located in the province of Cosenza, in the southern part of Calabria. It is situated inland, perched on the slopes of the Aspromonte Mountains, and offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside, including the valley below and the distant Ionian Sea.
