The lakeside town of Baveno is situated in the Verbano Cusio Ossola Province, on the shores of Lake Maggiore. It has a population of around 5,000 residents and is located 143 kilometres north east of Turin, the regional capital of Piedmont.

Baveno is a charming town located on the western shore of Lake Maggiore in the Verbano Cusio Ossola province of Piedmont, Italy. The area has a rich history dating back to Roman times when it was an important stop along the ancient Roman road that connected Milan to Switzerland.
History
In the Middle Ages, Baveno was under the control of various noble families, including the Borromeo family, who played a significant role in shaping the town's history.
