Beach Resorts of Marche

Of the numerous beach resorts of Marche, the prettiest are to be found either side of the Conero Peninsula, a short distance south of the regional capital: Ancona.

The beach resorts listed here stand apart from the seaside towns of Marche category which include the larger towns and official comuni such as Sirolo, Grottammare and Numana.

The pretty Portonovo for example with its aquamarine sea belongs to the comune of Ancona, while Marcelli on the opposite side of the peninsula is part of the Numana municipality.

Away from the Conero Peninsula the beaches of Marche tend to be straight, flat and sandy, with highlights among them including the resorts of Lido di Fermo, Marina Palmense and Porto Potenza Picena.
