The seaside town of Briatico is situated on the Tyrrhenian Coast, in the Province of Vibo Valentia. It has a population of 4,358 inhabitants and is located 16 kilometres north west of Vibo Valentia, the provincial capital.

The town has seven hotels while places of interest nearby include Sant'Irene Torre Vecchia and Marina di Zambrone.
