​The town of Brugnato is situated within the Province of La Spezia in Liguria and has a population of around 1,300 residents.

It stands at an elevation of 150 metres above sea level and is included in the list of Borghi Più Belli d'Italia (most beautiful villages in Italy). Touring Club Italiano also include Brugnato in their own list of Bandiera Arancione (Orange Flag) towns. 
Places of interest nearby include Pignone, Vezzano Ligure, the Cinque Terre and Deiva Marina. ​

Brugnato is a charming village located in the Liguria region of northern Italy. Situated in the province of La Spezia, Brugnato is known for its historical heritage, natural beauty, and medieval charm. ​
History
​Brugnato has ancient origins, dating back to Roman times when it was a settlement known as Ad Lucum. Throughout history, the village was influenced by various ruling powers, including the Republic of Genoa. Brugnato was once an important center for trade and commerce due to its strategic location along the Via Aurelia, an ancient Roman road connecting Rome to Gaul.

The village was also known for its skilled craftsmen and artisans. Today, Brugnato retains much of its medieval character, with narrow streets, historic buildings, and a peaceful ambiance that transports visitors back in time.
