​The town of Caporciano is situated within the Province of l'Aquila and has a population of 206 inhabitants. It lies 30 kilometres south east of L'Aquila, the capital city of Abruzzo. 

​Standing at an elevation of 836 metres above sea level, it covers a total area of 18 km².

​There is one hotel within 6 km of the town while the recommended accommodation is the Castello di Fagnano Albergo Diffuso which is 10 kilometres away. Nearby places of interest include Navelli, Popoli, Rocca Calascio and Castel del Monte.
