It introduces visitors to the orderly grid of baroque streets beyond.
  • Piazza del Municipio and Palazzo Comunale form the civic centre of the town, surrounded by porticoed buildings and local shops. The town hall includes a clock tower and historic rooms used for exhibitions and public events. The square hosts markets and is a convenient starting point for exploring the old town.
  • Church of San Pietro dates back to the 13th century and is the oldest religious building in Cherasco. Built in Romanesque style with Gothic additions, it features stone columns, a vaulted ceiling, and frescoes from various periods. The church is located near the ancient walls and remains in regular use.
  • Synagogue and Jewish Quarter are found in the quiet backstreets near Via Marconi, with the synagogue dating from the 18th century. How to Get to Cherasco
By Rail: Cherasco does not have its own train station. The nearest station is in Bra, about 10 kilometres away, on regional lines operated by Trenitalia. From Turin, the train to Bra takes around 50 minutes, and from Alba about 20 minutes. From Bra, Cherasco can be reached in around 15 minutes by car or taxi.

By Road: Cherasco is located in the province of Cuneo, close to both Bra and Alba. From Turin, the distance is about 55 kilometres, with a driving time of around 50 minutes via the A6 motorway. From Cuneo, the journey is approximately 45 kilometres and takes about 50 minutes. Parking is available near the town centre and around the historic gates.
