The town of Cittadella is located within the Province of Padua and has a population of 20,161 inhabitants. It's situated around 60 kilometres north west of the city of Venice, the regional capital of Veneto.​

History
Cittadella has ancient origins, dating back to Roman times when it was a strategic military outpost. The town's current layout and impressive defensive walls were established during the 13th and 14th centuries.
