The lakeside town of Colico is situated in the Province of Lecco, on the shores of Lake Como. It has a population of around 7,800 residents and is located a distance of 100 kilometres north of Milan, the regional capital of Lombardy.

Colico is a delightful town located on the northern tip of Lake Como in the Lombardy region of northern Italy. Nestled between the lake and the surrounding mountains, Colico offers a unique blend of historical charm, natural beauty, and a range of recreational activities.
History
The history of Colico dates back to ancient times, with evidence of human settlements in the area since prehistoric and Roman eras. The town's strategic location made it an important trading and military center during medieval times, and it was ruled by various noble families, including the Visconti and the Sforza.

In later centuries, Colico played a role in Italy's historical events and saw the rise and fall of different ruling powers.Today, Colico retains its historical character, with remnants of its past visible in its architecture and cultural heritage.
