The lakeside town of Bellano is situated in the Province of Lecco, on the shores of Lake Como. It has a population of around 3,000 residents and is located a distance of 81 kilometres north of Milan, the regional capital of Lombardy.

History
The history of Bellano dates back to ancient times, with evidence of human settlements in the area since Roman and medieval eras. The town's strategic location on the shores of Lake Como made it an important trading center during the Middle Ages, attracting merchants and artisans to the area.
