The current travel restrictions include the requirement for some nationalities to take a Covid Test in Italy, either on arrival or before they return home. Below you'll find details on the types of test available, how much they cost, when to take them and where they can be taken.

The two types of test that you can take are as follows:
PCR Test which is Tampone Molecolare in Italian and has a validity of 72 hours from the time it was taken.
Rapid Antigen or Lateral Flow Test which is Tampone Antigenico Rapido in Italian and has a validity of 48 hours from when it was taken.
If you substitute the word "Tampone" for "Test" you will almost certainly be understood, even if the clinician doesn't speak English.
