​​The beach at Duino is situated on the Gulf of Trieste, within the UTI Giuliana province, and part of the Comune of Duino-Aurisina. Places of interest nearby include Monfalcone, ​Sistiana, Grignano, Barcola, Aquileia and Grado. 

Trieste Airport is 11 kilometres away, a journey of 16 minutes by car. Recommended accommodation is New Hotel Aurora Duino.

​Duino is a picturesque coastal village located in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region of northeastern Italy. History
Duino has ancient origins, with evidence of human settlements dating back to prehistoric times. Throughout history, the village was influenced by various ruling powers, including the Roman Empire, the Venetian Republic, and the Austro-Hungarian Empire.

The most prominent landmark in Duino is the Duino Castle, which dates back to the 14th century and was initially built as a defensive fortress. Over the centuries, the castle has been expanded and renovated, and it is now a beautiful example of Gothic and Renaissance architecture. It is famously associated with the poet Rainer Maria Rilke, who composed his "Duino Elegies" here in the early 20th century.
