​​The beach at Sistiana is situated on the Gulf of Trieste, within the UTI Giuliana province, and part of the Comune of Duino-Aurisina. Places of interest nearby include Duino, Monfalcone, Grignano, Barcola, Trieste and Muggia.

Trieste Airport is 14 kilometres away, a journey of 21 minutes by car. The recommended accommodation is the Hotel Alla Dolina.

Sistiana is a beautiful coastal town located in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region of northeastern Italy. Situated on the Adriatic Sea, Sistiana is known for its stunning coastal landscapes, crystal-clear waters, and historical sites, making it a popular destination for beachgoers and history enthusiasts alike.
History
Sistiana has ancient origins, with evidence of human settlements dating back to Roman times. Throughout history, the town was influenced by various ruling powers, including the Venetian Republic and the Austro-Hungarian Empire.

In the 19th century, Sistiana became a strategic military location, and the Austro-Hungarian Empire constructed a large fortress, the Forte di Sistiana, to defend the coast. Today, the fort stands as a historical landmark and offers panoramic views of the sea and the surrounding area.
