The historic town of Fenestrelle is situated in the Metropolitan City of Turin province and has a population of around 500.

Standing at an elevation of 1,215 metres above sea level, it's located a distance of 88 kilometres west of Turin, the regional capital of Piedmont. Places of interest nearby include Usseaux, Laux, Balboutet, Fraisse, Pourrières​ and Pragelato.

Fenestrelle is a charming village located in the Piedmont region of northern Italy. It is best known for the impressive Fenestrelle Fort, one of the largest fortifications in Europe. Situated in the Val Chisone valley, Fenestrelle offers a blend of historical significance, natural beauty, and outdoor activities, making it an intriguing destination for tourists.
History
The main highlight of Fenestrelle is undoubtedly the Fenestrelle Fort, also known as the "Great Wall of Piedmont." Construction of the fort began in the late 17th century as part of the defensive system of the Duchy of Savoy against French invasions.

The fortress complex stretches over 3 kilometers (1.9 miles) and consists of a series of interconnected fortifications and tunnels, making it one of the longest defensive walls in the world.
