Ferrara and its Po Delta

The Ferrara, City of the Renaissance, and its Po Delta UNESCO World Heritage listing was announced in 1995. The inscription recognises the contribution made by the city of Ferrara in Emilia Romagna to the 15th and 16th century Italian Renaissance.
The Po Delta is an area of agricultural wetlands which played its part in developing Ferrara to its goal of becoming an "ideal city". |
